A firewall is a software (software) that is installed in a computer network and serves as a barrier to access burglary specific interests like a sieve. All incoming and outgoing to a network have to go through this screening so that access could be restricted dangerous. This filter can also be used to prevent the theft of valuable data from the network from outside the network.
Firewalls act even before the attack. Firewalls can be either software or hardware or both that protects your computer by monitoring and filtering all data packets in and out of your computer to the internet. Firewall analyzes data packets and learn:
Sources of data packets,
computer to which the data packet,
protocols used,
contents of data packets,
Thus, if you are using a firewall, then you can:
Blocking packets from specific addresses,
blocking the exchange of data between one PC to another in accordance with a specified,
prevent the use of certain protocols,
reject packets dengna certain words in it.
